PEACE LOVE & WUBZ is LSDREAM’s love letter to the dance floor and the cosmos, where every bass drop feels like a hug from another dimension. This album doesn’t just raise the roof-it raises your vibration. Plug in, turn up, and let the wubz work their magic.
LSDREAM has a knack for fusing old-school rave aesthetics with futuristic bass, all while bathing his productions in what can only be described as universal love. The result is a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking, playful yet sophisticated-a rare feat in today’s crowded electronic scene.
From the opening blast of “Love Rocket” to the meditative closer “Four of Swords”, the album is a journey through psychedelic soundscapes, filthy basslines, and celestial atmospheres.
Each track is meticulously mixed and mastered, with layers that reveal themselves on every listen. Whether it’s the heavy-hitting drops of “Potions” or the blissful ambiance of “Wild Orchids”, LSDREAM invites listeners to embrace their inner child, coloring outside the lines and letting go of perfection.
To truly appreciate PEACE LOVE & WUBZ, it helps to understand the roots of dub music. Born in Jamaica in the late 1960s, dub began as a subgenre of reggae, characterized by remixes that emphasized bass and drums, stripped-down rhythms, and effects like echo and reverb. Pioneers like King Tubby and Lee “Scratch” Perry treated the mixing console as an instrument, creating soundscapes that were as much about the space between notes as the notes themselves.
Over the decades, dub’s influence has seeped into rock, punk, hip-hop, pop, and nearly every corner of electronic music. LSDREAM’s work stands firmly in this tradition, but he’s not content to simply pay homage-he pushes the boundaries, blending dub’s deep grooves with modern bass, sci-fi synths, and a kaleidoscopic sense of wonder.
LSDREAM is a sonic trailblazer for the age of eclecticism. His approach is fearless, combining the spiritual and the playful, the cosmic and the club-ready. He’s known for his immersive live sets, mind-bending productions, and genuine connection with fans. The album’s artwork and ethos encourage listeners to embrace imperfection and rediscover the astonishment of childhood-a message that resonates across generations.
What’s more, LSDREAM’s meticulous attention to mixing and mastering ensures that every beat, wobble, and synth line hits with maximum impact. The album is designed to “raise your vibration”, making it the perfect fuel for any high-energy gathering, whether it’s a dance party or a solo bedroom rave.
This album is a celebration of high-energy vibes, genre-blurring innovation, and pure auditory fun. Ultimately, PEACE LOVE & WUBZ is a cosmic invitation to let go, move your body, and enjoy music that doesn’t fit neatly into any one box.
I've been debating whether to share this one for a while. Ultimately I think it's too interesting to keep to myself. If you like the more adventurous side of XG, you might like this album. Also, I don't think you get to JENNIE's "ZEN" without listening to music outside the box like this.
[GTT Note: We came across an image on Facebook that gives a fascinating 3D effect, and we might as well share here considering the theme of this album. Future digital photocards technology?]
